Smaller builds
Not every project is a core migration. Acorn Code Lab also builds websites, marketing sites and first-version digital products — for businesses that want something built properly rather than quickly abandoned.
No rate card here. Scope first, then a number — the same way we handle every engagement.
The value is not that we will do it cheaply. It is that the engineers who build systems handling eleven million accounts are the ones setting up your build pipeline, and the standards do not drop because the project is smaller. Sites we ship are fast on a mid-range Android phone over a poor connection, accessible, owned by you in your own repository, and documented well enough that another developer can pick them up.
The standards do not drop because the budget does. They are the only standards we have.
What you get
- 01
Built on the same standards
Accessibility verified in automated tests, performance measured on real devices and networks rather than a developer laptop, and infrastructure defined as code — the same defaults as an enterprise engagement.
- 02
Yours from the first commit
Code lives in your repository, on your hosting, under your domain. No proprietary page builder, no licence that stops when the invoice does, and full IP assignment on payment.
- 03
Built to be handed over
You get documentation and a walkthrough, so your team or any other developer can take it forward. We would rather you did not need us for a copy change.
- 04
Scoped honestly, or declined
If a template and an afternoon would serve you better than a custom build, we will say so on the first call. A studio that takes every brief is not being helpful.
If a template and an afternoon would serve you better, we will say so on the first call.
Good fit for
- 01Marketing and company sites that need to load fast and rank
- 02First-version products where the architecture should not need replacing at version two
- 03Internal tools and dashboards for teams outgrowing spreadsheets
- 04Rebuilds of sites that became unmaintainable
